Acapella Festival 2007

So, we (the SGM Renaissance Chamber Choir) has performed during the Acapella Festival last weekend. The first show 5:30pm was not as good as we expect. But the second show we performed our best. So satisfying!

Honestly, the repertoires we performed are very different with other groups. Mostly because we are performing Chinese ancient poems songs which could be very dull and boring to certain audience. But looking from other perspective, our repertoires or performance are more profound. And the technical skills are more important in performing our repertoires. Not that I am trying to boast around, but it seems to be the way it is.

No doubt that I enjoyed some others choirs' performance. Their repertoires are more happening and catchy. Most of them do musical songs especially YKLS and The Summer Singers. Both are very good choirs. Others are also very good like Sync Tone. All those cute little boys and girls are just so adorable. It's good that they're exposed to such cultural activities at this young age.

The following are the three video clips my sister's boyfriend captured during the show:

静夜思

Among other choirs/singers, I particularly love the Young KL Singer Choir sing the following song. Perhaps I love smoothing jazzy song. They enjoyed singing it, and I enjoyed listening. Love'em.

Tequila Sam

Hopefully we will have more opportunities to have exchange with other choirs so that we could motivate each other and together brings standard of choirs' performance to another higher level.
